Until today, the Diamond 28 column is the flagship model of the new Pylon Audio production line until the new Emerald line is released.
The Diamond 28 is a 2.5-way design, a construction well known and widely appreciated by the audiophile public. Scan Speak is the architect of the high frequencies using a 19 mm textile dome, while the mid and low ranges of the band have been entrusted to a pair of 18 cm transducers manufactured by Norwegian Seas.
By optimizing the selection of the treble drivers, a palpable substance has been obtained in the high frequencies, while in the mid-low frequencies, made with a lightweight cellulose membrane, it allows great flexibility in the mid-range band. The total results are more than attractive in dynamic nature, coherence as well as in the presentation that is thus being differentiated when making any recording.
By making a slight inclination in the design, a desired visual effect has been achieved and in this way it has been combined with the optimization of the dependency phase that occurs between the speakers. On the Diamond 28 the filter is mounted using the direct mount technique, which only uses polypropylene condensers. The placement of the coils has been optimized to minimize interference.
The cabinets are made of solid MDF, which has additionally strengthened internal edges. To suppress internal resonances, bituminous mats and sheep's wool have been included inside. The box is mounted on a pedestal, which in addition to providing a great aesthetic impression, provides an anti-vibration platform for the entire column itself.
The Diamond 28 is a unique combination of natural sound with great sound and great design.
The columns are recommended for use in rooms with an area between 25m² and 45m².
It can be made on request with any color of the paleta RAL.
